Mackem Apology!
Recently I did a post about Sunderland's tendancy to sign one season wonder foreigners over and above some local talent but Roy Keane had the last laugh last week as he went for some genuine quality with the signings of Cisse and Healey to stregthen his strike force.
Add Diouf and you have the makings of a Sunderland side built in the manager's own image. Tough, hard working and never going to roll over and say it's ok, you can beat us even though we play pretty football.
Beating Tottenham just makes it all the sweeter!
There is of course no telling how they will do this season but signing those two strikers and three points at the Lane send out a message.
